Digestion !
Why Digestion is Necessary?
Digestion is needed because it allows the food that is consumed to be broken down into chemical components such as glucose.[1] It is then transported in the blood stream by the villi in the small intestine so energy can be evenly spread throughout the body. Digestion is important because food are too large for it to fit into into the cell so they have to be broken down.[2] However, not all species digest the exact same way. For instance, plants digestion only occurs during cellular respiration, the process of energy release when breaking down food molecules found in oxygen. The energy releases from adenosine triphosphate(ATP) which is located in the cell. The role of digestion for humans begins in the mouth where we chew and the food with the help from the saliva gland which begins to digest the starch from the food into smaller molecules.[3]

AnatomyThe Anatomy for the lion fish is the same as all other fishes. Fishes body structure contain a liver, heart, esophagus, stomach, liver and a kidney. All of the lion fishes digestive organs aid them to digest by providing chemicals. For example, the stomach and intestines of the fish allows the body to break down foods and absorb nutrients. Lion fishes have short intestines because they are piscivor, fishes that eat other fishes. Due to that, the food in their body can easily get chemically broken down and digested.[4] Their mouth also benefit their digestive system because they start by taking in food from th mouth.
